Batchmates,
"Batch '82 Reloaded" held last Saturday was a success!!! It was one
fellowship affair that launched another milestone in the history of
our batch.
We are proud to announce that we now have our own official
COAT-OF-ARMS (CREST) and all-new batch shirt made of DRI-FIT material
being used also by leading brands. We will be in the process of
registering our "crest" in the international registry for
coat-of-arms.
Moreover, we would like to inform everyone that we now have our very
own WEBSITE. You can now log-on to www.lsqc82.org. Our
ultra-creative webmaster will further announce details about this
development. This won't be possible without the support of PHOENIX
LAND, INC., a property developer headed by our very own, Donny Pile.
We will now be focusing our efforts to our homecoming in 2007 to be
chaired by Doc Jonas del Rosario aside from our projects both existing
and those being "pipelined." The plans and programs have been
presented and it will be posted anew for the benefit of those who were
not able to attend.
Our profuse gratitude to our generous sponsors for making our
fellowship night very memorable: RECHARGE PLUS! headed by "muy
simpatico" APaul Fausto, EXCORE, INC. of Donny Pile (again!.....please
don't get tired supporting the ideals of the batch) and the
transportation company of Anton Pascual.
Special mention to LINEAR DYNAMICS, INC. of Edmund Lopez for the
tarpaulins used and to Glenn Rosales for printing some of our batch
shirts "pro-bono" using the sublime printing method.
To my fellow management committee (MANCOM) members: Jojo Gonzales, Leo
Virtucio, Philip Felix, Joseph Literal, Toti Esguerra, Jonas del
Rosario, Dong Bernardo, Roy Fernandez, Raul Clemente and Donny Pile
for your invaluable support.
Our hats off to Reggie Apostol and Bernie Bolisay and most specially
to Jojo Angus for being the over-all chairman of the event. To all
batchmates (you know who you are) who have continued supporting all
the endeavours of the batch without any fanfare. We are encouraging
everyone to be part of the continuing saga of our batch.
Thank you to Ms. Abbey Aquino, alumni affairs coordinator and Mon
Cabigao '79 for taking care of the logistics.
And last but not the least, to all our guests who have graced our
affair: Mr. Reggie de Guzman, Mrs. Teody Canave, Mr. Epifanio Paras,
the representatives of LSQC alumni association headed by Roehl Dumlao
and LSManda alumni association headed by SOL Mane Fernandez.
Mabuhay po ang samahang walang kakupas-kupas...BATCH 1982! Mabuhay
ang mga taga-Lourdes! Kudos to everyone...I am proud to be part of
the batch!

Batchmate, you know I wish you came. It was a general
assembly of batch'82 with invites pa from the former
faculty members, LSQCAA and LSMAA. Read on kasi medyo
mahaba but worth your while.
Hanep sa attendance may 40 lahat lahat.
6PM. Reggie Apostol and Bernie Bolisay at the
registration table that gave up smiles for those who
came. Arnel Agustin came with his family and so did
Philip Felix.
7:15PM. Start kami with a song "Prayer of St.
Francis" sang by Kundinara via VCD. Hey guys, kasama
anak ni Glenn Rosales sa Kundirana! Tapos si lolo
Glenn ang pinaawit namin ng Lupang Hinirang.
Nag opening remarks si Prez George Escarraga. Report
siya to the batch the past, on-going activities and
discussed upcoming projects for and by the batch and
for the alumni association as well. (Serious ang lolo
ah! Lapit na 2007!) May explain pa siya saan
direction ng batch at THX Matrix pa. (Matrix? Hmmm.
Kaya tinawag bang RELOADED etong fellowship?) Anyway,
review attached slideshow.
Dr. Jonas del Rosario as emcee was "just what the
doctor ordered." hehehe! Walang dull moment and the
program went on smoothly. Tawanan dahil kwela! His
wit and timing was eksakto sa situation and
personality.
Tapos ito ang other HIGHLIGHT ng gabi. Nagpalabas si
Raul Clemente. Ipinakita ang galing and creativity ng
lolo Raul.
Now Showing - eleskyusi eytitu proudly presents...
BATCH'82 LOGO RELOADED (concept ni Prez George). May
pinakita sa palabas na sina Yoda, Darth Vader, Darth
Maul and R2D2 were part of the audience watching.
Ang beginning e parang Matrix! Green numbers dropping,
musical scoring, the works! Taas balahibo!! Hanep! Ang
tindi! Pu%@#$*, grabe ka Raul! Mga samu't saring
reaksyon habang pinapanood at pagkatapos ng show.
Aba, we watch the Batch'82 Logo Reloaded TWICE! Kasi
may significance ang laman ng logo. The color, cross,
sun, stars, Pegasus. we were in awe! Then Dong
Bernardo formally launched the LOGO presentation by
means of a life-size tarpaulin print out. (yung tarpaulin
itself gawa ni Edmund Lopez at yung
kinalalagyan ng tarpaulin concept nang committee at
ginawa ni Toti Esguerra.)
The batch'82 logo is the batch's coat-of-arms. It is
now used and printed for the batch t-shirt exclusively
(your spouses bili mo din). The batch t-shirt was
worn and modeled by the Felix family - Philip, Shirley
and their son, Edric (Lourdesian all eh!) with Mon
Ycasiano. (Dito laglag si lolo Mon ni lolo Jonas.
Sapol si Mon ng pang aalaska ni Doc. Bagay daw kay Mon
yung t-shirt kasi lutang na lutang ang kulay ng shirt!
Hahaha! Di pa yun, laglag din ang lolo Philip dahil na
ampon nila si Mon! HAHAHA!!)
Patay sindi ang ilaw para sa mapanood sa dilim ang
palabas. Comment ang Doc Jonas, "Ang batch na ito
talaga, mahilig sa patay sindi ang ilaw!" (May
rectangular window sa leftside ng IM Center.) Hindi
nag-paawat si Erwin Paz lumapit sa said window at
humirit, "dito tayo pumili. ayun si number." HAHAHA!!!
Next was a preview like presentation parang excerpts -
LSQCFILMS 1982 presents WEB WARS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF
THE BATCH. (Huh?!. Lord of the Rings???) It was
presented in a Star Wars: a Lucasfilm fashion. The
words nag rolling forward na slightly. hay naku, basta
parang Star Wars complete with musical scoring!
Heto pa ang titles-- Episode I: the phantom website.
Episode II: the e-groups strike back. Episode III: attack
of the lookalike clones. Episode IV: revenge of the
site. Episode V: website revolutions. Episode VI: dot org
begins. Wow re-launching ng website! Batch'82 na ang
may-ari ng site!
TALAGA!!! Palakpakan!! Ang galing! Ang husay! Ano pa?
Aba panoorin niyo to see - to see is to believe!
Then lolo Toti introduced LSQC HS Principal Regie de
Guzman in formal yet with subtle tease and snicker.
Doc Jonas called Mr. Paras, Ms. Canave, Roehl Dumlao
LSQCAA President to speak to the group while Mane
Fernandez SOL (LSMAA) President salita din who gave a
badge to the batch as their tradition of giving a
memento. The batch received high praises from each
speaker.
Ako? Proud to be Lourdesian, proud to be '82
afterwards. Bakit? I didn't feel their was a section
classification that night, referred to as a batch!
Even may hang-ups ako nung time natin sa high school
wala na yun sa akin. charge to experience na lang.
Ano ba maitutulong ko? Paano ko masususklian ang
eskwela ko? Habang may tanong ako na ganyan, aba may
natutunan pa ako while around batchmates. Di pala
huminto ang learning ko from schoolmates.
Anyway, then we went downstairs para kumain, catching
up kwentuhan with old classmates, masayang "Picture!
Picture!" at inuman (daming beer at chichirya). Ay,
si Joey Abarquez nag-uwi pa daw ng 2 6-pack na beer!
Hehehe! Ayos!
