Table of Results

Last weekend April 9, the 1st Son of Lourdes Open 9-Ball Tournament was successful. We were able come up with 18 registered playing participants. Frankly it looks like and feels like there were more of us because it was acquainted with FUN plus the nostalgia of the late 70's and early 80's were present - music, memories and friendship.

We are greatly pleased and appreciative for those who came - Raul Clemente, Dong Bernardo, Joseph Abarquez, Mike Bernos, JP Lirios, Rannie Anis (who was in time here from Bacolod), Edgar Mangibin (who was here on a vacation to see his child graduate), Apaul Fausto, Philip Felix, George Escarraga, Leo Virtucio, Alex Cruz, Bernie Bolisay, Roy Cardenas (despite his busy pilot schedules came for support), and Mario Mariano.

A lone guest from LSQC batch '87 Percy Mariano (who played for Mario Mariano). A contingent from LSManda Batch '79 - Mane Fernandez, Bert Sarmiento & Dante Garcia (who carried the load and pressure for LSManda).

We are grateful to Wheelers Club International (courtesy of Makyo Almario) who supported the cause of the batch by not only generously giving PH 3,000.00, he send also lady guest players to play in behalf of those who participated but did not play like Apaul Fausto, Erwin Paz, etc.

Thankful to Abac Cordero for allowing us to have the tournament in print in the STAR Sports Section. To Edmund Lopez for the printing of our wonderful tarpaulin banner.

The winners of the concluded tournament were -

Champion - Ian Guiterrez (female guest player who played for Jojo Flores '82)
1st runner-up - Dante Garcia LSManda '79
2nd runner-up - Raul Clemente LSQC '82

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners!!!

In behalf of the organizers - Erwin Paz, Jojo Flores & Joseph Literal. Maraming Salamat Po!!!

Pax!
