Batchmates,

What a blast!!! It was really a night of partying and jamming. The night pulled a lot of surprises.

Our very own Leo Virtucio wowed the crowd with his robotic moves with matching head-banging while singing "My Sharona" and "Mr. Swabe." All the way from Davao, Jojo Olona joined in the jamming as vocals. Welcome back, Jojo!!! The guitar man, Roy Cardenas also joined and sang rock 'n roll with Boom San Agustin doing some tambourine.

The band is composed of Raul Clemente, Mon Correa, Art Valerio, Rodel Valerio '81, Pete Clemente '83 and import Dr David Endriga. Joey Sebastian '80 became our set-up vocals while his younger brother, Jojo Sebastian '85 sang like a pro specially the rendition of "Spain." Kit Coronel '78 and Al Felizardo '78 jammed as keyboardist and drummer respectively. So with Sam De Vera '79 as drummer and Cook Rivera '88 as vocals. Batch '75 initiated a fund-raising by betting whether their requests can be accommodated. Rey Mercado '59 donated his annual to the alumni association.

All this would not be possible without the much needed support from the batch most specially the sponsors namely Anton Pascual, Vic Martinez, Allen Isidro, APaul Fausto, Boom San Agustin, Manny Decena, Donnie Pile, Toti Esguerra, Ben Racela, Jonas del Rosario, Makyo Almario, Arnold Dayrit and Robert Manlapig. Many thanks also to Shirley Felix, Reggie Apostol, Bernie Bolisay and Robert Manlapig for manning the registration table. To Joseph Literal for lending his karaoke player. Of course, to Alex Cruz for the supply of beer at reasonable prices. Thank you also to Jap Pangilinan for the Nescafe. I would like to extend my gratitude to the alumni association specially to Bernie Abis and Mon Cabigao both of '79.

Thanks also to Mr. Reggie de Guzman for assisting us to get the HS grounds as venue. Of course to Philip Felix and Jojo Angus as our official cameraman. To George Mercado '70 for being the emcee in a short notice. To Jojo Buenaventura '78 for jamming also. Sa lahat, maraming salamat ulit at kung may mga nakalimutan pa ako, pasensiya na at hilo pa...

The alumni is requesting that we make this an annual event and this poses as a challenge to us to make it bigger and better. See you all guys for our next fellowship.

Pax!!!

George

Fellow Lourdesians,

It was really a night of partying and jamming and hope this would not be the first and the last!!!

This would not be possible without the full support of the alumni and the school. I would like to thank Mr. Reggie de Guzman for accomodating our request to use the high school grounds. Special mention to Abbey of the alumni office for the much-needed paperworks. Of course to Bernie Abis and Mon Cabigao of Batch '79 for the follow-ups. Hey Bernie, thanks a lot for the LCD projector and Mon, hindi ba nawala iyung mga extension cords mo?

To Joey Sebastian '80 for being the set-up vocals and being there from set-up time to pack-up time as well as lending his driver Boogie to be the runner. To those who joined the jamming session: Jojo Sebastian '85, Sam de Vera '79, Kit Coronel '78, Jojo Buenaventura '78. Al Felizardo '78, Cook Rivera '88, Ford Valderrama '83 and members of Batch '82, Leo Virtucio, Philip Felix, Roy Cardenas, Boom San Agustin and all the way from Davao, Jojo Olona for livening up the crowd. To all the band members who played without any let-up: Rodel Valerio '81, Mon Correa '82, Art Valerio '82, Pete Clemente '83, our webmaster, Raul Clemente '82 and import Dave Endriga. (take note : walang talent fee mga ito). To my tukayo, George Mercado '70 for being the emcee. To Mario Mariano '82 and Dong Bernardo '82 (he took charge of the press releases) for the powerpoint presentations.

The biggest surprise of the night was the donation of the 1959 annual yearbook by Rey Mercado '59. It would be indeed highly treasured! Thank you to Batch '75 for initiating a fund-raising during the event. Sa susunod daw, lakihan na ninyo ng matuwa lalo ang alumni office. And to all the other batches (listing at the bottom) who attended, hope to see you again soon. Sa mga hindi nakarating, bumawi na lang kayo sa susunod...

And last but not the least, to my ever reliable batch of '82 for being there when needed most specially for helping out as sponsors for the event.

Let us make this an annual event and hope to make it bigger and better. See you this homecoming and other alumni events. Hanggang sa muli at maraming, maraming salamat!!!

Pax!!!

George Escarraga
