Batchmates,
It was almost a year that our batch grouped together to prepare for our 25th year
anniversary.
From the magnificent 7 who attended last year's homecoming, the active membership
increased by leaps and bounds. Looking back, the formative months has its own birth
pains which we all surpassed with flying colors.
After several debates and discussions, we were able to come up with our basic
objective for the first year. We have to get at least 50% of the batch on-line
and establish a foundation.
The turn-out of events happened so fast. We were able to establish our own website
to serve as our main frame for the whole batch. E-groups discussion have been
created to serve as our platform for interaction among batchmates on-line.
As a result, several classifications of e-groups have been created to serve the
needs of our batchmates. At the end of the day, we were able to achieve 40% of
the batch to go on-line. No mean feat, indeed! Our website will never cease to
end as it promises to be more interactive. More innovations are underway which
would showcase the capabilities of our batch.
The establishment of our own foundation is not a breeze either. A lot of
obstacles were faced during the initial stages. But through the sheer
determination of our batchmates, all these problems were hurdled and we got
through the circuitous bureaucracy of our government. This only shows that if
we bond together and focus ourselves to a specific purpose, WE CAN ALL MAKE A
DIFFERENCE!!! The foundation would serve as the implementing body of our
scholarship program and our noble gift to our school when we celebrate our
25th year.
We would be celebrating our first year of bonding by next month and time really
flies so fast. More plans are underway and a planning session is in the offing
to discuss the programs of our batch for the second year. We have achieved our
objectives and we have to spread our wings even more to reach greater heights.
Judging from the results of our homecoming, we have come a long way. There is
no way to stop us from achieving our goals and aspirations. This is only the
beginning. Be part of history in the making. And you can be part of it!!!
