We have the following committees that handle the different activities of our batch.
Each committee is headed by a chairman and the chairman has the free hand to choose his members.
The executive committee (EXECOM) is an appointive position by the president of the batch.
The committees are:
• Trade - in charge of all merchandising items of the batch. All sales proceeds of this committee
would go to the operational fund of the batch as well as to the other small projects like our planned
batch ID and car sticker. The current chairman is
Edan Surtida.
• Membership - takes care of the database of all the members of the batch. All info about
batchmates would be coursed through this committee for proper updates. Sponsored members or adopted
members would be coursed through this committe for proper evaluation and recommendation to the
officers of the batch for final approval. The chairman is
Mon Correa.
• Information Technology - takes care of our website and the e-groups. Anything that is related
to computer graphics, programs and other high tech wannabes would be coursed through this committee.
Chairman is Raul Clemente.
• Ways and Means - in charge of raising funds for our projects. Solicitations and other possible
sources of funds would be coursed through this committee. This is headed by
Boom San Agustin.
• Sports - this committe would schedule any sports activities that the batch would like to indulge
in. The current program that we have is the so-called SEX program which stands for Sports and
EXercise. Chairman is
Erwin Paz.
• Fellowship - organizes events or affairs after every meeting or any gathering. In charge of looking
for a place to go to and have rounds of beer or just plain talk. Others refer it as "pilyoship."
Chairman is Rommel Paderon.
• Projects - manages all the projects of the batch. Chairman is
Leo Flores.
• Civic Action - this is our conduit for community service. This committe would handle all the
medical and dental missions as well as health programs even for the batch. All donations would also
be coursed through this committee for proper disposition. This is chaired by
Jonas Del Rosario.
Anton Pascual volunteered his office to be the secretariat and tasked to call on members to attend
scheduled meetings.
Regular meetings are held every last Saturday of the month although for the last two months,
meetings are confined to committee meetings with immediate needs. There is a proposal to have
the general membership meetings every quarter only.
We are encouraging batchmates to be active through these committees and share whatever time, talent
and treasure they have.
